Laura-Jane Bates
Principal
Laura-Jane founded Comset Legal in 2021, having previously worked in both small private practices and mid-tier firms. She holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University.
Laura-Jane has worked predominately in the corporate commercial sector and takes pride in advising clients in relation to every day and unusual issues, including purchase and sale transactions, terms and conditions, b2b agreements and intellectual property matters. Laura-Jane also has a wealth of knowledge for Property Law, Employment Law and Wills & Estate Planning matters.
Since the beginning of her legal career, Laura-Jane has assisted clients across an array of industries, including automotive, agriculture, food, manufacturing, professional consultancy, silicone and sealants as well as pool products and chemicals.
